Applus Smog DADdy™ is well into the 2nd Phase of Beta!
BAR has just announced that Beta testing will resume early May and anticipates certification of Applus Smog DADdy early June. Upon equipment certification, stations will be able to use Smog DADdy for 2000 and newer OBD smog inspections immediately. Take advantage of conducting faster smog checks and by ordering today! Only 10% down holds a DADdy for you.
Equipment is in limited supply. Delays in ordering may effect delivery times.
BAR has announced a temporarily suspension in the DAD certification process for all DAD vendors. This is a result of critical improvements that are required on the OBD Inspection System (OIS) controlled by BAR. It is estimated that the suspension will last from 4-8 weeks.
Applus Beta testing with Smog DADdy™ will continue during this suspension. Applus continues to manufacture its complete line of Smog DADdy™ products to fulfill orders upon certification and BAR approval. Prospective purchasers are encouraged to place orders early to ensure that they can take advantage of the new OBD Inspection System as soon as possible and reduce their dependence on their current BAR 97 equipment.
All vendors participating in DAD certification activity are subject to this certification freeze, regardless of where they currently stand in the process.
Applus Smog DADdy™ has passed Phase 1 of Beta and is approved to move to Phase 2 beginning January 23!
